UTOV and UPR have developed a new class of enzyme-responsive DNA-based materials operating under out-of-equilibrium conditions, based on an enzyme-mediated dissipative Hybridization Chain Reaction (HCR). This work demonstrates protein-driven spatiotemporal control over a synthetic supramolecular material, enabling programmable dynamics and temporal behaviors.
